Adrian Li Dionni, Tessa Hayward, Toby Wong

Adrian Li Donni

Adrian, a Green Room Award Winning actor and soloist, spent three years living in New York studying at the Circle in the Square Theatre School. He later specialised in Opera singing at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, graduating with a Master of Arts in Advanced Vocal Studies. Adrian’s career has seen him touring globally as a member of the Ten Tenors, performing in stage musicals such as The King and I, Beauty and the Beast, Miss Saigon, as part of the creation and performance of Muriel’s Wedding – The Musical, and most recently in CG animated movie musical, Castle Gillian (releasing 2023).

Toby Wong
Toby Wong is currently a Master of Music (Musicology) candidate at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. His research work focuses on musical exoticism, and modern productions of Puccini’s operas. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Toby graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and was awarded the Multi-faceted Excellence Scholarship. As a conductor and vocalist, he is currently the Assistant Conductor and Choral Scholar of St. Patrick’s Cathedral Parramatta, and a tenor in the Sydney Chamber Choir. Before moving to Sydney, he was the Assistant Conductor of the Cantabile Orchestra and Chorus (Hong Kong), and a tenor in the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra’s chorus. In the 2023 season, Toby will be working as an Assistant Conductor with the Beecroft Orchestra, and with the opera company The Cooperative in their upcoming production of Leoncavallo’s Il Pagliacci. Toby is passionate about promoting classical music through broadcasting. He is a Presenter at 2MBS Fine Music Sydney, and a Producer-Presenter at RTHK Radio 4 (Hong Kong).

Tessa Hayward.

Tessa has a Graduate Diploma of Music Studies (Opera), a Graduate Certificate of Music Studies and a Bachelor of Music (Performance and Pedagogy) in Classical Voice all from Queensland Conservatorium of Music.
Tessa was the recipient of the Prue Kennard Scholarship for singing lessons and coaching, the recipient of the Prior Family Foundation Opera Study Tour Grant, the Melba Opera Scholar, The Ann McFarling Opera Scholarship and the Patrick and Vivian Gordon award with the Melba Opera Trust as well as the winner of the Inaugural Dame Elisabeth Murdoch Prize and Runner Up at the Herald Sun Aria Final in 2018.
Tessa has had numerous roles in opera including Violetta in Verdi’s La Traviata and Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni both with Pacific Opera. Tessa has also been in several performances of opera scenes including Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier and Lucia in Britten’s The rape of Lucretia
Tessa is currently rehearsing for Mimi in Puccini’s La Boheme with Hunter Opera.
